Convincing customers that a high quality aluminum injection mold can perform comparably to a hardened steel tool in many applications, has allowed our clients to cut cost and lead times, with no sacrifice to quality or reliability. Engrave Inc. has changed the perception of “aluminum for prototypes only” by very carefully evaluating each individual customers needs.
Newer, high quality aluminums (QC-7 & QC-10), specifically manufactured for injection molds, are 20-25% harder than many Chinese steels used in off-shore tools. Aluminum is stable, machines quickly and cleanly, can be chemically textured, and stays cool during molding cycles.
